Petition for election: Supreme Court to rule on Mahama’s appeal to reopen the case today

he Supreme Court will sometime in the afternoon, Monday, February 15, 2021, hear an application by attorneys of John Dramani Mahama to return his case in the 2020 political decision request case.

His legal advisors shut their case before after questioning of their three observers to clear a path for the respondents to do same.

Nonetheless, the respondents didn’t present observers for interrogation contending that the candidate had not cited sufficient proof consequently shutting their cases.

The candidate’s legal advisors had a problem with this application, yet the court decided hence that the respondents can’t be constrained to introduce observers; Jean Mensa, Chairperson of the Electoral Commission and the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) Peter Mac Manu to take the observer box.

Thus, John Mahama recorded a new application for leave which will be heard by the court today.

Whenever in truth, the solicitor expects to summon Jean Mensa to obligatorily affirm.
