President Akufo-Addo has allayed fears among a section of the public on the legalization of same-sex marriage.
He noted that marriage between persons of the same sex will not be legalized under his Presidency.
President Akufo-Addo made the remark at St. Michael and All Angels Cathedral in Asante Mampong during the installation of the Second Archbishop of the Anglican Church of Ghana.
His comments come in the wake of pressure on the government to state its position on activities of LGBTQ+.
The activities of the group seem to be gaining notoriety with the establishment of an office in Accra which has since been closed down.
President Akufo-Addo was emphatic that Ghana will not endorse the activity of such groups.
